Bingo. I think you’ve summed up in a few pithy words what I’ve tried to express in a long paragraph. I may sound negative but I don’t mean to. I’m a believer and ultimately, I’m sure we will win. And it may not be through political means. I believe in a “Higher Power” that holds this world together and none of this is a mystery to Him. Could go on but I think that sums it up. For what it is worth.
I believe in God and in his son Jesus Christ. I know God is in control but I also believe this country would be a lot better off if we spent more time on our knees asking God to forgive us for our transgressions as a nation.
We, as a nation, are having our troubles, because we have become our own god. It was a gradual process and one that would be very difficult to change. Perhaps a return to God, on a national level, would begin to change things, but as weak as our Churches are, I don’t see that happening.
“If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
