I am a Federal employee. We received the letter via an “all employee email” from the president Tuesday about 9am Central time, as we prepared the office for the shutdown. About 20 minutes later one brave employee (from a mountain west state) responded via “reply to all” with the following message. I have to wonder what the implications of this will be for him.

I very much resent the “political slam” directed towards the US House of Representative. The House has passed several realistic funding measures, but the US Senate as blocked every one of them. The Senate and you have refused to negotiate in good faith on any of these actions. Shame on you, trying to blame the government shut down on the US House of Representative.
