If you feed the bears at Yellowstone there is the danger that they will not only lose their ability to fend for themselves (handouts are easier than actually foraging), but the parents won’t teach these skills to their offspring. This new generation will be entirely dependent on others for their needs and will become aggressive if those needs are not met.
For all our wisdom and technology, we aren’t all that different from the animals in the woods...
