Since cops were at the scene and did NOTHING to diffuse or stop the situation, the CITY and NYPD now have a bullseye on 'em.....deep pockets.

If they were on duty at the time that *might* be true.If not I don't see how that can be the case.But if the paralyzed punk gets an OJ type jury (very possible in NYC) then it might not natter.knowing what I know of this case (which,admittedly,isn't much) I'd be hard pressed to find in favor of the paralyzed punk.

I thought cops were always “on duty” .... reason they can always carry.
