Better coverage means that the deductible triples. Fuzzy Obama math.

Just wait until the stupid liberal morons who opt out of OblahMaosCare pay the IRS yearly penalties that go up every year to 2016. They got chumped but do deserve the pain.

By all accounts, the new policies will offer consumers better coverage, in some cases, for comparable cost -- especially after the inclusion of federal subsidies for those who qualify.

Guess NBC never saw this chart from the Heritage Foundation:

And NBC fails to mention the "federal subsidies" will be paid for by you and me. Another hugh entitlement program.

Your government provides your healthcare now, get used to it because soon enough, they will be the only game in town, and that will be the law of the land.

Didn't you have to puke a little if you voted for McCain in 2008?
How about when your only “conservative” choice was Romney, in 2012?
Oh I managed to do it myself.
But I won't be able to ever force myself to do it again.
I now understand why many conservatives stayed home.

Absent getting a choice for “None of the Above” on the 2016 ballot(which would probably garner the majority of all votes) I don't think there is a chance in hell the Republican Party will nominate a real conservative.

Our country is going to implode. The Democrats will have finally achieved the total societal destruction they have always craved. The victory will be an empty one, since this script has been attempted many times in human history. And you are worried about an insurance policy now? LOL! Did you support the last ditch effort to stop the individual government mandates? No? Well...you should probably start looking in a mirror when ascribing blame.

If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.

In your basement, on a chain with all the windows painted black. Good luck with that.

I think it was P. J. O’Rourke who said, if you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it’s free.

While I respect your semblance of humanity, I must insist that Exit Only means Exit Only, and I don't need no pill for that.

Everyone’s policies prices are gonna be hiked. If the insurance companies are charging $1 k for a plan on the exchange (even though the enrollee may get subsidies to make their cost lower) they are gonna charge $1 k for the same plan straight through them. They are not gonna carry a bunch of different policies with one price for the exchange and one price not on the exchange. This is gonna wind up as one size and price fits all.
If I was an insurance company that’s what I would do to streamline it.

They are comparing old private coverage costs to exchange cost what is worse is comparing old coverage to the replacement coverage offered by same carrier.

..nudging the democrats towards accepting Obama’s face saving delay for a year..

The RATs have to do something because the 2014 GOP candidates will run on it for sure. I think that around Christmas time Obama will give one year's absolution for the individual mandate. They are way to far gone to delay the whole thing for a year

...they are gonna charge $1 k for the same plan straight through them.

But the deductible, co-payments and cost sharing are much higher on your new private policy.
