Eaten a “few” squirrels in my day too, thanks for posting!
My grandmother would go out in her yard and kill a couple of squirrels for her dumplings. I prefer chicken with mine but when you grow up poor and have to live off the land and it’s bounty, you do it. I sure miss her.
