No, Drudge is merely reflecting what happened yesterday.
He isn’t endorsing, and even if he did it wouldn’t matter.
Rhoades is a GOP establishment operative. Drudge and FOX News acted as arms of the GOP establishment in the last primary. The same thing is going to happen this time, most likely with Christie. Christie has shown he will pander to the demographics Karl Rove wants him to, e.g. gays and latinos. The big money people who have the money to donate are pro-gay and want cheap immigrant labor. The money will always be working against conservatives who won’t sell out their country.
Even without the most money we do damn well as Cucc’s race and the last Republican primary showed. But not enough to win. We represent the majority of America but the money skews things for the other side by bombarding people with false messages. We need to work harder and smarter to win and preferably line up big money donors for the Tea Party as well, or do great with grassroots fundraising. In order to compete, we need to get good at raising money.
“Before the primaries were over last go ‘round, I stated correctly that Romney was one of the few candidates “guaranteed” to lose the election.”
Absolutely true. It was so clear Romney was not viable.
Same with Christie.
If he is to win the nomination, I will vote for him over any Democrat, as we all should.
Let’s just make sure he is not the nominee. They are all high on his win in NJ, which is better for NJ than his opponent. But it is still three years away.
The first primary debate will take place in 18 months, if they follow the same schedule they did last time.
It's time to start organizing for Cruz at the grassroots level now. The establishment will be officially lining up money and endorsements for Christie starting today if they haven't already. If we aren't doing the same now, we'll fall behind.
I liked McCain and Romney, at least until it became clear that they were definitely trying to lose their races. Granted, neither were my first choice... they were my last choice for my candidate (which is why the DNC/MSM selected them).
It's clear as day that the same formula is being used with Cristi to insure Hillary's win, and I'm sure that like his predecessors he will cooperate with the DNC.
Its more likely that a Republican will never again be elected to the White House, so the action item is to control Congress, the House and the Senate.
Christie can run for GOP President. Keep Cruz as Senator and TEA Party favorite.
Personally I see very little that's likable. He's a blustering loudmouth who never saw a camera he didn't like. Those qualities may pass for likeable up north, but here in the South? Not so much.
That would accomplish little without the WH. The jackasses would still control most of the federal judiciary, and eventually the SCOTUS.
I don’t find him likable myself. I think he screwed Lonegan to ensure he crushed in the governor race. However, all the exit polls/polls in NJ show that his constituents find him likable.
Wish I had a Like button for your reply!
Yes, I have friends there-—conservatives-—who like him.
IIRC, there was a lot of pushing in 2012. And a lot of bashing of those who were in opposition to those pushing certain ones.
Perry pushers were rather mild, as he didn’t stay in very long.
Cainiacs were atrocious and vicious and blinded to what/who their candidate really was.
Satorumites were not much better.
Gingrichians were as vicious as the Cainiacs, even when their candidate lost both Florida debates.
A lot of pushing and shoving.
In a way, I am sort of glad my state primary is so late in the spring that the nominee is already decided. That way, I don’t have to bother with jumping on bandwagons of the candidate-of-the-moments.
2008 wasn’t much better. Recall the few weeks Thompson was in — then out.
I’m not ready to write him off. He at least took on the teacher unions. I hear conflicting information about his record on the 2nd Amendment.
Personally I have no use for him. He’s definitely anti-gun; he introduced three gun bans in NJ and then refused to sign them because he’s got his eye on the presidency. He’s soft on Islam, and he says he doesn’t believe homosexuality is a sin.
You hear a lot about him taking on the teachers’ unions, but what did he do, really? From what I saw, he yelled at some people and got some camera time. I always felt that claim was overblown, and then I read post #14 on this thread:

I can’t respect someone who needs a lap band to control himself.
I don’t see America voting for a lapband president, yet.
I agree.
And here’s what I don’t understand...I saw a clip of him rolling to the podium to make his speech. He’s as big as ever. Where’s the weight loss? He must be the first person to lose zero weight after weight loss surgery!
