My family is in a time of trial. Please pray for us today.
The situation has been ongoing. We expect to reach a resolution today.
Sorry to be so cryptic; I do not want to betray the confidence of the others involved.
But if you would ask God to help us find His way today, it would be appreciated.
I will have limited to no internet access for much of the day, I will respond when I can.

This is a child custody trial.
Years ago we took in a troubled teenager, a relation of ours.
She turned up pregnant, had the child, lived with us for another 1.5 years then run away leaving us with the child. For a little over 4 months we had occasional contact, but she wanted us to keep her child. We got a court order to become temporary sole conservators (Texas Custody Term). That allowed me to keep the child on my insurance, enroll in school, etc.
We then had no contact at all with the mother for 2.5 years. The court told us enough time had passed that permanent orders needed to be put in place. We had essentially the exact same terms from the temporary orders, rewritten to be permanent.
When the Mom was contacted, she filed to have sole custody. She filed without contacting us, trying to call or see her child.
We have been in trial. The trial ended today. We are waiting for the Judge to send the attorneys the judgement. We may not get that until Monday.
It is more complex with more details that I am not willing to share in a public forum. But now that the trial has ended, I felt I can share that much.
