Quinn and Rose, the Morning Show HAVE VANISHED INTO THIN AIR.
The show was replaced this morning with sportz talk.
The 104.7 web page has been scrubbed.
Reports from a wiki source say the affiliates were notified 10 minutes before air time this morning that the two had been fired.

Conservative talk hosts Jim Quinn and Rose Tennent are no longer part of Clear Channel’s WPGB 104.7 FM morning programming. The duo finished its run in Pittsburgh at the end of last week.
In a statement, a Clear Channel spokesperson said “WPGB tried to reach new terms with Jim Quinn and Rose Tennent, but as that was unsuccessful, they will be moving on and we support and thank them for the contributions they have made to Clear Channel Media + Entertainment’s WPGB over the years.”
Another Clear Channel talent, David Bloomquist will host mornings on WPGB from 6-10 a.m., effective immediately. A former sports and morning news anchor on West Virginia television, Mr. Bloomquist, known as “Bloomdaddy,” broadcasts from WWVA 1170 AM in Wheeling, W.Va. The program also is available on Parkersburg’s WLTP, 910 AM.
Neither of the former “The War Room with Quinn and Rose” hosts could immediately be reached for comment.
I think there is a concerted effort to scrub any/all conservatives who are vocal. I listened to Q&R on Sirius/xm. They have been gone as well as a few other shows for over a month.

Jim Quinn & Rose FM NewsTalk News Talk 104.7 WPGB PittsburghRegionally syndicated morning show “The War Room with Quinn & Rose” is off the air after being unable to reach a new deal with flagship “FM NewsTalk 104.7” WPGB Pittsburgh.
Jim Quinn and Rose Somma Tennent had hosted mornings on WPGB since the station launched its talk format in January 2004. Quinn previously had a long career as a music DJ in Pittsburgh before transitioning to Talk. The program was also syndicated to seven other stations in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic and had aired on one of the former XM Radio channels programmed by Clear Channel.

On June 17 of this year Clear Channel announced that Nathan Daschle would become Executive Vice President for Political Strategy, effective immediately. In this new position, Daschle will develop and oversee a Washington, D.C.-based team that will focus on working with political and issue advertisers and advertising agencies to develop custom strategies and campaigns. Nathan Daschle is the son of former Dem Senate leader Tom Daschle. Nathan was also Executive Director of the Democratic Governors Association.
I believe this and the recent removal of many of Clear Channels conservative programing from Sirius XM shows what direction they intend to take.
I think Q&R were on WHJJ Providence at one time.
Acc to wikipedia the affiliates aside from WPGB include WHLO Akron OH, WYSL Rochester/Avon NY, and other stations in Maryland and New York.
..though WHLO site said they have Wall St This Morning instead

Follow the money. Take a look at who owns clear channel. The last time I listed to those two was when dude was all in favor of bogus accounting by the banks after the sub prime blow up. If he was talking smack about GOP-e....well...just take a look at who owns clear channel.
My guess is if they did not come to terms it was more over control of the content than money. CC probably wanted them to cool it on a number of topics and they resisted.
I’m sure the syndicated audience will love hearing Bloomdaddy talk about Wheeling Central Park football and the big sewer bond issue down in Wetzel County.
Above all, they are a good capitalist and carried all kinds of programming if it was popular, profitable.
We've not heard yet, how the Q & R ratings were in Pittsburgh, and sponsor support. Does anyone know. ?

This is big and does stink on ice as someone said here...I’ve posted on Beck and Ingraham on Facebook - the best I can think of to do - to ask them to comment on this. They should be motivated to speak about it because it looks like government or at least the radical left shutting people up...
I read a Pittsburg local paper. It’s because contract negotiations between Clear Channel and Quinn and Rose (probably their agent) fell apart. Hopefully they will find a new home on the air soon. Keep checking for new information on the internet.
I doubt Beck or Hannity or Ingraham will say a word as Clear Channel controls 1200+ stations and they can’t afford to get on their bad side.
Can’t believe I’m moving in the Libs direction on the subject of monopolies and station ownership.
Beck has a successful Internet TV thing going. He may pop off at Clearchannel because he is well off.
But I wont listen to WPGB any longer. Thank heavens for Internet.

This is going to hurt Bloomquist too, as he was clearly hired to give the yocals in Wheeling the “party line” local show they apparently want. If he now has to shift to national issues, they are likely to turn on him.
(full disclosure....my grandparents and great-grandparents lived in Wheeling. My great-grandfather emigrated there from Paris, France, for reasons we are still trying to figure out)
