Look, I appreciate your courtesy and admire your optimism. I hope that you are right and I am wrong.
But it is my unwavering conviction that the scoundrel in the Whitehouse and the rest of the Democrats want to WIN every battle; while the Republicans merely want to scrape, grovel and crawl through each election.
I admit that I can be overly optimistic at times, and this is probably no exception. If yesterday's events do not shake Republicans to their core, then nothing will.
