I believe that the key to finding the next “Greatest Generation” will be in the next tangible “Greatest Adversity”.
The young men and women serving today are, indeed, some of our best and brightest. (Even with the ravages brought about by the current administration)

Right you are, and I certainly didn't mean my comment to in any way reflect on our military -- they are proving every day that there are still Americans willing to work hard and risk all for freedom. As one who enjoys that freedom, I have nothing but the highest regard and appreciation for our troops.
My comments were directed at the large number of young Americans who seem only interested in acquiring shiny things, and slacking when they're not playing video games or texting friends.
