Back in the 1970’s we bought a brand new three bedroom two bath house for $15,000 and worried at the time about spending so much money. I just can’t imagine someone spending $10,000 for just a bike. Says something about some of the people today. But then again it’s bigger boys with bigger and more expensive toys. *** Says more about the degradation of your dollar....

That would be true. But that house is still standing and in excellent condition even after almost forty years. I still have my old pink Schwinn bike from back then too. No gears and not fancy but it does get me around the neighborhood. Each to his own, at least for a bit longer.
