The trouble-prone Porsche that Fast & Furious star Paul Walker was riding in when he died in a crash suffered a mechanical failure that was likely caused by a power steering fluid leak, a new report said Monday.
Sources connected to Always Evolving the auto shop co-owned by Walker and Porsche driver Roger Rodas told the celebrity Web site TMZ that they saw evidence of a fluid burst and subsequent fluid trail before the skid marks at the accident scene. Modal Trigger

The sources said that the lack of skid marks until just before the point of impact suggests the driver didnt have control of the speeding cars steering.
Walker was just tagging along with a pal for a test-drive in a trouble-prone Porsche when they crashed and died, a new report said.

Yes it was a failure - Because somehow, the media has become knowledgable Porsche Technicians with years of experience. *SARCASM*
Reality - The driver made an error that cost both his life and the passenger’s. Don’t drive a supercar that is literally modeled from a race car on the street and not expect a bump in the road to cause a loss in stability.
They already ruled out that they were not involved with the donuts. They were done with a car which had a much smaller tire.
Good luck with that.

I’m no expert, but that looks like multiple impacts to me.
I thought it was a tree in the car. The tv report said utility pole. Thanks.
That also looks like a pretty high curb. I would think it would take some momentum to put that car up around that tree.
for a LEGO mobile perhaps...otherwise nope!
I’m sure it would be pretty obvious if one were to visit the scene and trace the path of carnage.
The stupid part is a rich guy like this could rent all the track time he wanted and drive his @ss off all day long.
This didn't happen at 45 MPH.
I agree completely. I couldn’t believe they said that.
Was Hastings the previous owner?
?
Sorry. Writing out loud. Wasn’t arguing with you.
Throttle stuck to the floor with a foot on top?
This didn't happen at 45 MPH.
This site has some interesting crash pictures at this speed (or thereabouts) for accident reconstruction analysis. The crashes are created on purpose with remote guided cars with full instrumentation.
Here is a picture of a 45-MPH crash directly into the narrow end of a highway divider:
Based on this, if you add a car fire, perhaps 45 MPH was all that was needed for the Walker crash to do the damage seen.
45 to 0 MPH in a tenth or twentieth of a second is still a hell of a lot of kinetic energy
.
Maybe 145
I’d say closer to 100 mph. That car can hit 100 between stop signs
I read that 45 mph jabber too. Take one look at the remains of that car and tell me with a straight face that that much destruction could occur at 45 mph.
Not even barack obama could pull off a lie that big.
Probably more like overdrivng your brakes.
