In my opinion, death is not supposed to happen, in that it wouldn't be here if not for the fall of Adam. I truly suspect that is why Jesus cried with Mary at the death of Lazarus, that Jesus grieved over the stark, cruel aspects of the sinfulness of man.
I will mourn for Billy Graham when he dies. There will be pain and sadness for his friends and family.
I will rejoice at the last trumpet because we will be caught up forever with the Lord. There will be no pain and suffering, sorrow and death.
Thank you, Jesus, for your unspeakable gift. The Graham family is in my prayers.
Amen.
Yes, because they have to let go of their loved one....but only temporarily, and there is the great blessing for Christians.
I'll never forget the passing of my husband's grandfather a few years ago. He was so much at peace, and so ready to be with Jesus. God allowed him glimpses of what was to come, and he told us he couldn't even begin to describe what he was seeing....in fact, he didn't think he was supposed to do so. Being in that hospital room was like a miracle....even the doctors and nurses said so.
I can only imagine how much more that is the case with Billy Graham. I believe his family is receiving divine comfort even now.
