Irony is a ship full of global warming advocates getting trapped in the hardest freeze to hit Antarctica in decades.

Everything old is new again. Cast your mind, if you will, back to 31DEC1967 - Lambeau Field - the "Ice Bowl." I seem to remember being allowed to watch the game, but my memory on that may be faulty.

I was in Boot Camp at Great Lakes at the time. Air temps at game time were below 0°F at our location and the usual high winds were blowing in from the Lake. On the night of New Year's Eve, or I should say the early morning of New Year's Day, I had the 0200-0400 Fence Watch at Camp Moffett, a collection of WWII temporary buildings where they housed the MIC and SID recruits.

We showed up at about 0145 and were provided with cold weather gear and M-1's. As we presented ourselves, I saw a boot from our Company who had been sent to SID who was being "motivated" by one of the staff. We went out to walk the fences in -20°F temps in knee deep snow. In the two-hour watch the only creature we saw was a rabbit running by.

I can't recall a time in my life when I was colder - plenty of times when I was overheated - walking through the Elephant grass in 'Nam, for example.

Gore-Bull Warming?

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
