ADHD is just a fancy word for “I need exercise, and some freak is making me sit still...” It isnt a mental disorder, it is a teacher and parent disorder!!!!!!!!!!!!ADHD is a diagnosis OVERUSED because it generates MONEY for schools PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO back to the days of “Its light outside...go out and play until its dark.....” or...(excuse me for suggestion this............RECESS in school! Let the little freaks play diodgeball and burn off energy! Hell it worked in the 50’s, just look at how well I turned out! :-)

Yes! I agree with all you wrote. They didn't show us much mercy in the 80's either. We had no air-conditioning so we just melted in the hot months, no matter if we were inside or outside the school. And we were outside we ran our rears off. We played on blacktop that you could fry an egg on. We got hit in the face with dodgeballs and we were tackled (not tagged) in playground football. And we loved it!

Now that would be considered inhumane and violent. Here, have a juice box.

Your post touched a nerve. Recess (or PE for us) wore us out so much that we were too tired to cause any trouble. We were just glad to sit down after all that running, lol. We didn't have to be doped up by the school nurse to calm us down. Boys were allowed (up to a point) to be loud and play--in other words be boys. And noboby complained. We played war with toy guns and the neighbors didn't call 911. My friends and I drew the most VIOLENT BLOODY pictures you could imagine, LOL, and some teachers even complemented our work.

There was nothing wrong with it then or now. But things have become so screwed up and bass-ackward everyone wrings their hands over normal behavior ...
