Seems to me you have posted similar breathless blacklight press releases for about 10 years.
They look pretty impressive. If they were true, they would quickly make bigger headlines and result in big technological changes within a year or two.
But that never happens. There is never more than a blacklight press release reposted in places like freerepbublic and then crickets.
So while the news sounds good, if history is any guide, the next thing we will hear about black lights fabulous invention is.... nothing.
cmon man go easy. the poor guy can’t even tell us the difference between a watt and joule
***Redefinition of terms. I thought that most scientists dont even acknowledge that LENR is real?
Since the subtle beauty of our language escapes you, let me draw you a picture of what most scientists think of when they hear the acronym "LENR:"
Feynman seems impressed.
1 kevmo = zero / m^3
That was Blacklight. Not me, please re-examine the PR packet, it explicitly states watts, not watt-hours or joules. A good way to con everyone, and yet be legally sound if it ends up in court. But your honor, we did make 5MW of power, for 16 picoseconds!
***All right, this appears to be the heart of your claim. They claim Watts, when most of us hear Watt-hours because we all ASSUME WattHours, especially when they say “continuous output power”. An EE who measures a resistor doesn’t think 5W dissipation means it will dissipate 5W for 15 picoseconds. (DUHH) So, your position is that a guy who’s been selling vaporware for 20 years and has nothing now, would be posting in WATTS, rather than be explicit about WattHours. Then it simply means we have to wait until his demo to see if it’s real or if he’s just playing word games or his PR person has his head up his ass. You can yell “SCAM” all you want, and I can yell “experiments trump theory” and “Let’s See” all I want.
Third, go to mouser. Select a power resistor in 10W and up range.
***Interesting. All the power circuits I’ve deal with were less than 10W. Silicon and/or FR4 tends to melt at certain power densities.
Here’s a power calculator I generated for the industry:
http://www.sipex.com/files/ApplicationNotes/ThermalCalculator.xls
But, next time, try to avoid the bowlsheet of saying that the coal industry sells their crap in Joules per bucket or anything like that. It’s a ridiculous argument. It appears that across the board, from 1W to 1MW, EE’s go into shorthand mode when they say Watts but mean Watt-Hours. But if you think that this means Mouser is shouting “SCAM” by following this shorthand, you’re simply way off.
Ill bet if or when you drink, you know more than God Himself in your own mind ;-)
***And I would bet you think the same when you’re sober, but I’m not going to accuse Mouser of fraud when they drop an H in their specs.
when I saw ‘watt-hour’ I imagined for a brief instant that Mr.Kevmo actually might know something. Incredulous, I read again then realized he was quoting a reply from someone else.
sigh.
Richard Feynman:
“Experiment trumps theory”.
Care to explain the 14,000 times that this EXPERIMENT has been REPLICATED?
No, I didn’t think so. Some scientist you are.
what is a watt
what is a joule
Seems to me you have posted similar breathless blacklight press releases for about 10 years.
***Nope. I’ve been posting on LENR for about 5 years, and blacklight was “always around the corner” even then. This time, they claim to generate power and they’re going to demo it.
coal industry does sell in joules per bucket although they probably use different units (btu per cubic yard for example)
So while the news sounds good, if history is any guide, the next thing we will hear about black lights fabulous invention is.... nothing.
***Good enough observation. It would appear they’re being surpassed by Brullion, MFMP, Rossi, or others, so it is time for them to either put up or shut up. That’s how I read this particular LENR development. Notably, Mills was working in Ni/H before even Rossi, and that made his results at the time even less believable.
I gave you an example: motor braking.
***Then it would appear that your pulse would last at MOST few seconds, not years. That’s all you needed to post. As you say, “Oy! That pretty much explains his knowledge failure, right there in that one sentence.”
Exactly how does that translate to how one would measure a resistor? Because, if one views these LENR devices as a resistor that outputs more power than is put in, it NEVER comes to lumps of coal per bucket. Significantly, when I posted the resistor measurement hypothetical, the skeptopath never responded with anything other than some obfuscation.
What is 1 Watt + 1 Watt?
It’s 2 Watts. And that is a very, very simple hypothetical question. Notably, it was not answered either.
Took me while but I got it
in kevmo-world
watt - unit of energy or power, as needed. A 1 MW burst of power for 1 nanosecond can power a thousand houses in perpetuity. We are saved!
joule - see above
power density - the kevmo is the unit of power density and is 1 watt (or joule) per cubic meter
The ultimate experimental verification will come when one of these devices is operating somewhere, to the profit of the purchaser. That is never going to happen.
***Interesting faith position, FraudZagonner. If I could find a way to put your money and my money where our mouths are (again), I’d take you for all you’re worth. Just like when I made money doing exactly that at one time.

I don’t think you got it any more than the other guy. He says that 1MW means 1MWH, that it’s a short-handed thing in, well, the coal industry. And all of us should know how the coal industry talks about such short hand because, well, coal used to be delivered by hand to each household or something like that.
Since power and energy are both measured in joules (or watts, as needed) in Kevmo-land,the opportunities for economic exploitation (of the uninformed) are quite literally, unlimited.
how are resistors measured? Do you see a “Joule” setting on your DVM? I don’t.
you lack h.s. undestanding of basic physics. i have nothing to prove to you. for the time being it amuses me.
