I used to have dinner with my daughter after softball at this Flames. It had gone down hill over the last few years. Still a shame
bummer ate breakfast there nearly every sunday morning for 20yrs

I saw the remains this morning and will miss the place.
My sister lives only about four blocks from this restaurant.
And there was that big warehouse fire a week ago Thursday. I work a block away from that one.
There have been a LOT of fires in San Jose in the last week. At least the fire at the Flames doesn’t sound like arson (the one up the street from me last week was).

Reminds me of the time (several decades ago) when I was aboard a ferry boat named “Fire Queen”, on the way to Fire Island, when the ferry caught on fire.
Not a big deal, one of the crew grabbed an extinguisher and put it out. But maybe that kind of thing happens when you tempt fate.

I think the Flames restaurant chain split ownership some years ago.
But the one that used to be in Cupertino was excellent. Loved that place.
