There has always ‘been talk’ that The Capt. has always had a difficult time communicating. Nowadays, some may call those symptoms Asperger Syndrome, or a very high functioning autistic person, who was able to sublimate his obsession with sound perfection, and make a very fine living from it. I don’t know if that is true or not, I’ve never met or treated him. Such a condition, plus being professional performers, may be part of why they had no children.
On another point, I recall being embarrassed in the late 70s when I heard Toni and The Capt, performed that song Muskrat Love for The Queen of England.
