My brother is a volunteer with the St Vincent DePaul Society.
He pays the expenses of his “work” out of his own pocket, as do the other volunteers. From what he has told me, I’m surprised there is any overhead at all.
(Maybe they have to buy stamps or something.....)
Yes, the last report for our local St.Vincent de Paul Society indicated yearly outlays of about $80,000 and total administrative expenses of around $16. So my statement of .1% expenses was actually 500% too high.
