He should be jailed for being a no talent hack. But then they’d have to jail every musician with a top 40 record that is out today.

Today’s pop music is nothing but computer generated and processed crap.

Musicians these days have to look good because their music is so bad.

You put your finger right on the issue. Having tried to subject myself on numerous occasions to listening to "modern rock 'n roll," I have come to the conclusion that all the talented song writers are either retired or dead. The stuff I have heard has no discernible melody or interesting rhythm, and it's invariably sung by untalented people who sound amazingly alike (generic male, generic female).

Is it possible that maybe you go into it with a predisposed bias? I don't know what genre you prefer but try some of these:

Snow Patrol
Death Cab for Cutie
Carbon Leaf
Shinedown
KT Tunstall

Those are just some I like off the top of my head. Eventually we all need to move past Nazareth and Dokken.
