Bristol Palin: Wendy Davis' Story is 'Downright Pathethic'

Bristol Palin ✔ @BristolsBlog Follow Dear #WendyDavis, You Can Have a Job AND Kids http://shar.es/UAmoJ @TwitchyTeam

Writing on her Patheos.com blog, Palin called out the Texas State Senator for greatly exaggerating her ‘success story’ and criticized liberals who are still supporting her:

I know you would rather think about Wendy Davis, so let’s get back to her. She’s more your type of woman. She left her kid, husband, made it into a false “made-for-tv-movie-type-tale” and then demanded that Texans have the right to kill babies. That’s the woman you libs can really get behind!

Let me be clear. I think it’d be so nice to have a husband take care of me, and my son, so I could attend school. (Any school — let alone, Harvard!)

But the way Wendy Davis did it – by getting married and leaving him as soon as the ink dried on his last check – is downright pathetic.

Palin, who was a teen mom herself, is right to expose Davis’ lies. In another “you go, girl!” moment, she mentioned her mom’s admirable story as an example that having and raising children while working is attainable:

Is everyone paying attention? This woman is the hero of the Left? A woman whose ambition and ego were so big she couldn’t have both a career and kids at the same time.

Gosh, children are sooo inconvenient, huh? I’m glad my mother didn’t put motherhood on the shelf when she was elected to City Council, then became our mayor, then Governor.

Heh, heh ...Bristol knocked that one right out of the park.

Spot on analysis of Late-Term-Partial-Birth-Abortion Barbie.

I just don’t think she’s one who should be passing such judgments on personal life decisions like that.

As an abstinence spokeswoman and a pro-life spokeswoman, this is pretty much what she was doing for years, as far as I know it still might be here job.

As conservatives, we do want her to continue her good conservative work, she needed to speak out on this.

I don't think that you should be passing judgement on pro-life, conservative activists, especially when they are pointing out the negatives of a pro-abortion activist running for Governor.

If we cannot criticize those “on our side” then we are not much different than the other side

LOL, grew up the daughter of a Governor?

Bristol, the New York Times best selling author, and national spokeswoman for pro-life, and abstinence organizations, was 16 when her mother was elected Governor.

Yeah, you are promoting the strongest defense of gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis, that I have seen or expect to see, at FR.

That was just silly.

If you want to go after the Palins, or their daughter, then do it.

Davis is a phony feminist. She sucked out an education from an older man, Harvard at that...he took care of her kids while she left for school. The day HE finished paying for her education she left him and the kids. She screams that abortion should be legal, never admitting that she essentially aborted her two after they were born by leaving them. Single mother? What a joke.

As for Bristol....she faced the music and had her baby. She is raising him and working. She is young and has years to go to college in. Give Bristol time, she will make abortion barbie look like the loser she is in due time.

I disagreed with Palin on illegal immigration until she finally broke free of the McCain position

I never thought she bought the McCain position, I think she didn't change as much as she was pegged by a few jealous FReepers (aka the pissant posse) when she gave some very political (also clearly not determinate of her views) answers when she had to represent McCrazy. People who say she changed did not read the stuff clearly at all. I had lots of fun with one particular poster who was shocked, shocked, that she wasn't pro-amnesty. He had believed it for so long in spite of the evidence that he still is apoplectic he wasn't right.

My own personal belief is Gov Palin is NOT going to run in 2016, no evidence, just think her path is different. I'm hoping she can become Sec/energy or some other cabinet position in a conservative administration. It's her strength.

AS to Bristol, this thread's subject, she not only has every right to point out the lies and fabrications of Wendy Davis, but the creds for it as well. I think your wincing is a sad spectacle. She made a mistake, she paid for it, is coming out on the other side with character, unlike most democrats who can lie, steal and cheat with every breath, she's rolling along, becoming an adult, and that she would "tut" over this is totally natural, and totally right, and more than just okay.

I think your original wincing was wrong, not recognizing the total depravity of this woman Wendy Davis, just how big a fraud she was to put herself up as some kind of role model. Bristol hit her correctly, that more people who consider themselves as conservatives don't is simply a shame. Pushing against her instead of the lying Davis is what the MSM/demonrat complex wants.
