todays pot is 10x more powerful than the pot of the 70’s and 80’s, it has become a very powerful drug.

From what I am reading people are reducing their dosages accordingly. In fact, some old-type pot smokers who try the new stuff get scared off after a single puff.

I haven’t indulged in cannabis use in almost 30 years, but if it were suddenly legal in Texas, or if I were to find myself in Colorado or Washington for some reason, I might be tempted to purchase and eat a brownie. Providing, of course that I were assured of not needing to be a responsible adult for the ensuing 12 to 24 hours.

Hypothetically speaking, of course, if you were to take that trip to Colorado or Washington and were to hit the Devils lettuce and then came home to Texas where it were still illegal where you were drug tested for you job and failed. Could you be legally terminated? There are going to be a lot of legal questions like this in the coming months/years.

I’ve never seen it.

What I’m saying is if a person is irresponsible enough to use marijuana while on the job, you will not need to ask them, you will know right away.

Just the same as if a person is irresponsible enough to drink on the job, you will know right away.

The one that is much easier to conceal is cocaine.

But if you ask those people if they are using cocaine on the job, they are going to tell you no.

The best question to ask is of yourself.

And that question is are the people that I do business with on a daily basis or otherwise providing me the services that I need in a responsible way and in a manner that pleases me.

If the answer is yes, then you’re fine.

If the answer is no, then make a change.

What people do in their off time really isn’t any of your business so long as those activities aren’t affecting you or your business directly.

One can sleep off a night of heavy drinking and work through the next-day fog. Having been a heavy user of marijuana in the past, I can tell you definitively that the deleterious effects of marijuana on cognitive functionality lasts for several days.

My experience is the opposite of yours. It's why I don't drink at all. So there ya go...anecdote for anecdote.

I recall twenty years ago an owner of a local clothing store that I frequented who got busted for dope. I took my business elsewhere. No personal danger involved, but I certainly wasn’t going to conduct business with such an individual.
