If this was not meant to be taken literaly, disregard the following. The truth is that MetLife has no roof because the Giants and Jets did not want to pay for it. The funds to build the stadium was mostly from the football teams themselves, not the state. Since both teams sell out every game, why would they spend extra for the roof.

Football should never be played beneath a roof of any sort, ever.
