Dell’s service sector has gone downhill. I’ve had the “pleasure” of working with DellDirect, and they’re the most dysfunctional group I’ve ever seen in IT. Having worked with HPDirect, by comparison, that’s not good.

Dell’s gone over to consulting real strong, esp. with their garbage “Quest” product line. They still make decent hardware, but being an HP guy myself, I think it’s inferior to other offerings such as IBM’s lines.
