One of my friends needed a ringer third baseman for his 12" softball team in Taylor. So I said, yeah, I'll drive over. I thought I wasn't that bad, playing in an upper-echelon league in Ann Arbor.

I've never played wearing a cup, ever. I misplay the first linedrive to come my way, and everyone on the opposing team started shelling me. By the end of the third inning, I was playing five feet onto the outfield grass, with no hope of making a throw. My friend benches me, and I said, "sorry, but thanks."

There are some big boys in Taylor, and they can hit.
