Yes, I know all about Irish Alzheimer’s. And I used to really resent England, but, after September 11, I realized that we need to be on the same team. Besides, all of the people who stuck it to Ireland have long since gone to their reward.
I am a woman, so, at one time, I would have called myself a daughter of Eire, since at least 6 of my 8 grandparents were 100% Irish blood. Now, I am sick of seeing hyphenated American identities, so I am a daughter of America.
