500 but second guessed myself on one, so I could have had 1 more correct.

I like to think I have a good ear for languages and I’ve been around enough internationals (plus time abroad), that I’ve heard a lot of different languages. I took German, Spanish, Old English, and Chinese as a student, and used Rosetta Stone to learn Danish a few years ago. My friends who were native and near-native Danish speakers said I did pretty well for learning from the computer. And as luck would have it, I have a friend who spent 6 months in Iceland and I spent a little time looking at the language, so that was easy to pick out.

I always have a hard time with Portuguese. I don’t know why.

Portugese sounds odd to me sometimes. Every once in a while, I hear a snatch of it, and for a split second, it sounds Russian to me.

Don’t know why.
