What three movie characters so you hate the most?

What three movie characters of all time do you hate the most? They may be the the evilist most merciless villian like the emperor in Gladiator, or just a smarmy self-righteous protagonist or whatever you want.

J T Walsh the evil truck driver from “Breakdown”.

Nice pick. Terrific, under-rated movie.

What is this? Poker?

I'll match your Deanna Troi and raise you a Dr. Crusher.

I'll match your Dr. Crusher and raise you Seven Of Nine.

Most people would call that, going all in.

Speaking of going all in...

I can honestly say I’ve never liked a single movie Sandler’s ever made including the two you mentioned.

I totally agree with you on Jim Carrey. He just tries too hard, it seems to me and always comes off as too much over the top for the material. Like we’re supposed to think he’s funny just because of his facial expressions and such.

Two more comedians I can’t stand that come to mind are Robin Williams and the late Jonathan Winters. Both of them are also over the top in their deliveries, IMO.

Jar Jar. I want to take his little CGI self and dissolve him like they did the celluloid characters in “Roger Rabbit.” He was like Goofy on Valium AND acid. (Wait, no, THAT might have actually been interesting.)

Anakin, and

Princess I-Can’t-Act-My-Way-Out-of-a-Bag (that was her name, wasn’t it?)

What a curious coincidence that all these wretched characters were in one movie....

It is near the beginning of the movie before Dr. Ryan leaves for DC; she plays Dr. Ryan’s wife.

How about the physics professor in Real Genius? Another obnoxious role.

“Mr Potter in Its a wonderful life.”

Oh yes, good one. I’ve actually only seen this movie once and he’s the reason why. That and the scene with the Pharmacist. And just the complete fecklessness of the guy who loses the money.

Samuel Butler says in ‘The way of all Flesh’ that the most common reason people kill themselves is because of money. I don’t know if that is true, but it makes sense to me.

“That sais, she did fill out that one-piece uniform quite nicely.”

Yes, she was annoying, but she’s very beautiful, very Greek looking. The most beautiful woman I ever knew in real life was an immigrant from Greece, she worked in a coffee shop. She was movie star beautiful.

The bad guy in Dirty Harry either had a REAL hard time getting any other parts, or never did.

Ah, not a Star Trek fan I see...he was Odo from DS9.

Well if you hated Mr. Potter, you’ll love the “Lost Ending” of It’s a Wonderful Life....

Your “She’s fired!” reminds me of what I drive my husband batty with when we watch TV. Whenever some yitzoid charater pulls a completely stupid stunt, I can’t resist saying, “TSL! TSL!” TSL stands for “too stupid to live.” Most characters that get that chant from me have me hoping for their death pretty quickly, just so I don’t have to watch them.

That was my take on Carrey as well. Plus I’m a avid hater of toilet humor. I grew up on Eddie Murphy (Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop). Very funny stuff without having to act like a moron. As for Williams: all I can say is ugh.

One of the nice things, in addition to that powerful opening score, is that the film follows the book very closely with a few minor exceptions (the main one being the description of the silent propulsion system).

Yeah William Atherton "dickless" has made a career out of being great at unlikeable characters.

So was Paul Gleason, (RIP) also from Die Hard and the Breakfast Club.

Now that I think about it I hated James Spader in Pretty in Pink.

Good actor in other roles, though.

“It’s like a jet engine for the water. Goes in the front, gets squirted out the back so it’s very very quiet.” “Like how quiet?” “Doubtful sonar could even pick it up. And if it did, it would sound like whales humping or some kind of seismic anomaly, anything but a submarine.” - Sorry one of my top 5 movies and I can pretty much recite it from start to finish.

“I really, really wish they would just dip into their fan fiction and develop a Star Trek Anthology series.”

That’s a good idea.
