Washington Lobbyist Jack Burkman Wants To Ban Gay NFL Players

Washington lobbyist Jack Burkman said that he is drafting legislation that would ban gay athletes from playing in the NFL if approved.

“We are losing our decency as a nation,” Burkman said in a statement, according to Rebecca Shabad of thehill.com. “Imagine your son being forced to shower with a gay man. That’s a horrifying prospect for every mom in the country. What in the world has this nation come to?”

His legislation was spurred by the coming out of Michael Sam, who, if drafted, will become the first openly gay man in the NFL.

While he claimed to have political backing for the bill, he failed to mention any specific supporters.

Me too and, while we’re at it, lets end their anti-trust exemptions and taxpayer financed stadiums.

I’m a libertarian, my social acceptance is, “who cares?

History says otherwise. You should care very much about the lifestyle and values of the people around you.

Do any of these Republicans know anything about being a politician? Honestly, these idiots spout off without thinking and then the democrats brand the party as radical-sounding as these blowhards.

Why is it so hard to talk commonly and sensibly about the dangers of homosexual sodomy; to talk about the fact that 2/3 of all HIV/AIDs cases are due to homosexual sodomy; that many same-sex “marriages” are open marriages preserving the opportunity for extra-marital sodomy; that we should be helping homosexuals overcome their same-sex attraction through research like we do for other disorders.

These kinds of comments are why the Republicans got hammered in last elections, allowing the leftist media to paint them as radicals.

I’m sorry, but if they’re aren’t killing me, raping me, or stealing from me, I don’t really give a rat’s behind what my neighbors are doing.

In human beings, what’s the precursor to killing, raping and stealing? What is its opposite?

ditto here on both of those things

taxpayer financed infrastructure is stupid for a multi-billion private business/industry

where 20 out of 32 NFL teams are valued at $1 billion or more each, and the TV networks paid $28 billion for the rights to air NFL games last season

they can well afford to finance the stadiums themselves, without taxpayers support

they’ll have to NOT give as big of salaries to some guys and charge the networks more, or take a small hit on their profits, or all three of those, but financiing stadiums themselves will not put them out of business

Here in Chicago we built the stadium, let the owner use it for free for 30 years and then we own it. How is that a good deal for the taxpayer?

It’s just stealing via legislation. Just because it is ‘legal’ doesn’t mean it’s right.

there’s a silent Non-activist majority in the “gay” world that agrees with DADT, by choice, not ‘cause anyone mandated it - because it works;

numerous economic studies have shown that no major sports stadium has produced the total local economoic benefits that everyone was told/promised it would do - none of them

the teams owners and the leagues use political blackmail - “you either help us build the stadium or we’ll move the team, hell we’ll move it to the boondocs” - they operate like gansters in that way

the fact is they will not normally ever move a team to the boondocs, because the networks are not going to pay for showing games with an empty stadium; but they will move the team to whereever they get the biggest bribes - taxpayer money - from

then that city’s officials will become hostage to the political blackmail of either continuing to serve up taxpayer support fot the team, through the years in some fashion, or see them leave THEIR city for “greener” pastures

Where in the Constitution does it say the NFL has to hire homosexuals? Probably in the same paragraph that says women can kill their unborn babies.

Why can’t women play in the NFL? How about coach or referee?

Remember this?

Pro golfer can use cart / Supreme Court rules PGA can’t force disabled player to walk

Maybe homosexuals could claim a disability. That would make the homies crazy.

Anyway, this entire “gay” thing day in and day out is driving me nuts. Would love to go one day without hearing the little snots whining about something.

It doesn’t have to say that they have to, and it doesn’t say that they can’t. As children should be seen and not heard, lobbyists should be heard and not seen. Who is going to want to be represented in WDC by someone this stupid?
