On one hand, he’s clearly amongst, if not THE, best at his position. So, would the greatest long snapper ever therefore deserve HoF status? I say no; cuz the world’s greatest long snapper is only slightly better than an average long snapper when it comes to how much he helps his team win games. The world’s greatest returner (or those right up there) deserves HoF consideration because allowing his team to play on a 60 yard field so often is invaluable. Shame that half-wit Lovie couldn’t develop even an average offense to capitalize on the gift that fell in his lap.

Lovie Smith ruined the greatest kick returner in the history of the game. He played defensive back in college at U of Miami why would you make him a wide receiver?. There’s a reason why certain players who are extremely fast play defense. 99.9% of them have no hands. And Devin Hester bless his soul did not have great hands.
