What would you have done?
Look around the outside of the home? Check.
Look in the windows? Check.
See no one and then what?
Break in when there is no indication of foul play—like a body in plain view or broken or trashed home.
Heck, they’re not supposed to break in if someone is home and denies entry or doesn’t answer the door at all and there is no indication of foul play that they can see.
Around here, they'll make sure someone has seen the person unless that person has left notification with police that they'll be away and for approximately how long.
Interesting that they are treating it as a homicide.
