A snippet from factcheck.org:

...the average salary for civilian federal employees was $81,258 in 2009 — about 61 percent higher than the $50,462 paid to the average private sector worker.

So, it was 61% higher a few years ago. I doubt much has changed.

The reason the cost of living is so much higher in DC is because the salaries of GERBs are so inflated — not the other way around.

I don’t know where ‘Fact’ chucker get’s it facts but I live it everyday here partner.

Fact is I can pull 120K-130K in the private sector all day long but the same qualified Fed worker pulls in 15K less in the Gov. in THIS AREA.

Fact checker is full of it.

Don’t believe me, pull up a FY 14 Gov. pay scale then compare to the rest of the private industry in this and other high tech areas.

As a matter of fact, I won’t even consider going into the Government because the pay is so out of whack with what can and do make in the private sector.

Again, Factcheck is full of it.

I’m way more coin as a Project Manager than Gov. reps leading entire divisions WITH budget responsibilities.

There’s your fact check.
