I quit smoking 5 years ago. Never thought that I’d be able to quit. But the “government” has no business telling private companies what they should be selling. And do these lawyers not know how much taxes their states bring in from tobacco sales?
The article mentions the group being led by former Republican senator from Ohio, Mike DeWine.
Ohio just keeps getting worse.

I’ve often wondered why these people assert that because a retailer carries healthy products they should not sell unhealthy products. Aren’t some people in the market for the former and some in the market for the latter? Or is that beyond these peoples’ weak understanding of markets?
....get rid of the bad tobacco, but replacing it with pot is ok. What kind of a world is this?

I do not even know where to begin with this one............
Depending on the state, Tobacco taxes range from .2% (SC) to 4.4% (NH) of all TAX revenue.
How about these AGs lobby their state legislatures to refuse all local/state/federal tax revenue generated from cigarette sales?
After all, if it’s contradictory for retailers to offer health care services and profit from tobacco, it must also follow that it’s contradictory for states to do the same.
What is even more contradictory is that tobacco taxes are used to pay for health care.............
