When You Read What Abortion Activists Are Up to at the UN, Your Blood Will Boil
Life News ^ | Raimundo Rojas

It’s nearly midnight on the penultimate day of this 2-week Commission on the Status of (some) Women and after almost a hundred hours worth of negotiating there are still some 80 paragraphs that have not yet been agreed upon. That’s right, EIGHTY paragraphs of wildly contentious language that if agreed to would propagate a radicalized extremist sexual agenda that includes abortion while at the same time stomps on the sovereign rights of many nations.

un9But that is the plan.

Bring the world to UN Headquarters in New York City and put on a show. Have meetings and informal sessions peppered with dozens of declarations and interventions and panel events. As a bonus provide a platform for the most excessive elements within the international abortion lobby to attack pro-life countries and express their tired ridiculous faux outrage at the Holy See.

When in negotiations, agree to disagree on the language being debated, move on and promise to come back to the controversial paragraphs. Keep everyone here until all hours of the morning and then at mid-day of the last day have the Chair introduce a different document not previously seen and tell the delegations to take it or leave it.

This is the new pattern.

At the start of this meeting I wrote a post that expressed how the more things change at the UN the more they don’t. Who knew it would turn out to be prophetic? I could be wrong – but at this late hour – I don’t think I am and by tomorrow afternoon we will, in fact, be looking at Chairman’s Text.

The UN’s proclamations and edicts mean absolutely NOTHING to a sovereign nation.

Or shouldn’t.

“Criminalized abortion laws are used to punish individuals for what are accepted worldwide norms.
Women are tortured in criminal system after having had abortions in Bolivia.
Women are being handcuffed to their hospital beds in Brazil.
Indigenous women are being raped by the thousands and have no legal recourse.
Poor women are DYING en masse.
A woman in Malawi spent 2 years in jail for suspicion of having had an abortion.”

Id bet they have no verifiable evidence to prove... any of these accusations.

The UN never should have come to be. They appointed their former Nazi at an opportune time, when the USA had some weak left-leaning presidents, and the declaration of Zionism as “racism” met no resistance when it should have been the catalyst for breaking the UN apart.

>What we do know (after a bit of questioning) is that the woman in Malawi was falsely arrested and almost immediately released BUT her release paper was lost between the courthouse and the jail and she sat there for two years. Not because of of abortion, but because the criminal justice system in that province failed her. And yet not one of the outraged and scandalized feminists huddled in that room asked – “Where the hell was Amnesty International?”

Whatever the reason, nobody should have to spend time in prison for lost paperwork.

At that point it will be illegal to speak out against abortion.

"Not to mention the implied lack of regard for national autonomy and sovereignty."

The writer throws out the above, almost as an after thought. But the real significance of the whole focus on abortion, and other issues that go to the attempt to force a uniform culture on the peoples of the earth, is precisely to destroy "national autonomy and sovereignty."

It is a mistake to even see the UN as a debating forum for passing judgment on the moral values of the member nations. Even hosting a forum for those who seek to use collective power to remake human societies is an implicit acceptance of what should never be accepted.

Put another way: Does anyone really want to surrender to a collection of foreign bodies, what was recognized in the Treaty Of Paris--1783?

Put yet another way: Can we allow the pretense of "world opinion," to ever make us accept Hillary Clinton's frothing demands the other day, for a recognition of a woman's right for "abortion on demand?"

Frankly, it may be time to send Hillary, NOW & the UN to the island of Laputa (Gulliver's Third Voyage, as I recall), where their projects might seem more acceptable.

U.S. out of U.N.; U.N. out of U.S.

Send them packing to Brussels, Paris or Beijing. Let ‘em pay for their own “new world order”.

But if the U.N. remains in NYC, at least we will have access to those who will try to trample our first amendment rights through their internet control. We'll know where to find them when we are forced to defend our first amendment rights by use of the second!

Kurt Waldheim. He was UN Secretary General from 1972 to 1981. It was during his term that the UN declared Zionism “racism” per Resolution 3379 (on 11/10/75)
