Normally a team has to be eight points better than Duke to play even with them, thanks to the refs. In case anyone guessed, I’m no fan of Duke. In fact, Duke makes me puke.

No, that's not the reason they lost. Did you see the game? Duke was bested by a practiced and experienced TEAM from Mercer that had learned how basketball should be played.
