Some time ago I decided to make coq au vin for dinner. The whole process starts with cooking some bacon in a Dutch oven, and I decided to cook an extra strip so I’d have a little snack for myself.
That was a mistake. Next time I’ll cook TWO extra strips. :)
I understand. I prefer thick bacon cooked almost crisp. When I have the opportunity to cook it, it gets consumed almost as soon as it comes off the griddle. Either by me, my wife, or my son.
