I don’t think so. I didn’t know either of them (the gig was a referral from a friend of a friend) but he seemed (almost obsessively) devoted to her. So the vibe I got was (just shy of) that of a stalker not chauvinist. We never crossed paths again so I don’t know how things turned out (hopefully no suicides or murders LOL).
Interesting story about the husband’s request and very creepy. But it’s a better song than the one usually requested: my much hated Evergreen.
