I've read quite a bit on it. She had $7 mil in debts against the $9mil on paper. She was not rich personally; Mick had bought her apartment and had seeded her business, which had $6 mil in pressing unpaid debts to small creditors like fabric and craftspersons, and she had taken out a mortgage for $1.3 mil on the apartment without his knowledge, causing fights in January before he left for training for the Australian tour. She owed her suppliers so much she was unable to complete her Spring showing in January and was going to close her business on the Wednesday two days after she ended it all.

Just curious: why did you think I wouldn't research available facts about this situation? Is it because you know I'm a woman? I spent years in the international corporate business world, specifically in the arts/entertainment/media space. I've written above about the financial side of Mick's situation. Why would you just assume I bring nothing?

Let me clarify that again: she may have had assets in her own name, but her friends and the UK press have opined that because Mick had infused so much money, she felt deeply indebted to him regardless of who had legal ownership of the assets. With the business teetering, this was an emotional burden in the days leading up to the end. Males also suffer emotional burdens from debt and debt is a frequent cause of male suicide as well.

You have taken exception to the term “woman-bashing” as if it were a feminist screed on my part. It is not. It is a descriptor of one type of song he sang, among many types of Stones lyrics; just as many female artists sing man-bashing songs. Country radio is full of both types. Just looking at the various elements of the picture. No agenda other than sympathy for both of them.
