Zimmer sees flags around Manziel
The spectacle surrounding Johnny Manziel's pro day last week and the celebrity status of the former Texas A&M quarterback seem to concern Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, who said "flags" popped up when the team met with Manziel for a private workout.

Only thing I would read into this is that the coach wants Manziel - bad. If you wanted someone else, you would keep you mouth shut so that one of the people that drafts ahead of you will waste their pick on this guy, thereby making it more likely the guy you want will still be available.

I’m no Manziel fan by any strech but I’m thinking if he were of a different race these concerns would not be such an issue.

He’s got basically the same issues list as RGIII (run first QB lacking the size to make that style “safe”, not terribly accurate in the pocket, and an attitude that looks like it will make him very frustrating to coach). Mike Shanahan can attest race didn’t make them not issues.

I pity the QB who has to live in Al Franken Land amid the Leftist Democrats, Muslims and ice floes. If Manziel has to go to a loser team, at least the Texans are in Texas.
