Chronic back pain, Cancer and a whole host of other reasons none addicts might need to use prescription Opioid. Not a bad thing to have around in a worst case scenario.
I've seen life from a perspective that few middle (or upper) class Americans enjoy.I worked in the ER of a large hospital (one located in a major city) for 20+ years. This was an unusual hospital.Located in an inner city section of a large city, many of our "clients" were "poor" and minority. But as a world famous hospital we also saw the rich and famous both from the local area and from around the globe. So I literally encountered everyone from Saudi royalty to the dregs of American society.
As for the hundreds and hudreds of junkies I dealt with...many of whom had no pulse when they hit our door...I can assure you that Darwin had a good point when he proclaimed "only the strong survive".
I could go on...but won't.But know this:this nation is *far* better off without junkies than with them.Even if that means death for junkies.
