Earthquakes do only seem to swarm here on Earth
6 of the 13 largest earthquakes between of the last century happened in the last 10 years. 6 more happened between 1951 and 1965. That’s 12 out of 13 happening in one of two stretches totaling 24 years.
That’s a stronger grouping than can be explained by the fallacy of the “Texas sharpshooter”, and while geologists are unsure of the reason, they do acknowledge the statistical groupings.
