Check out the first couple seasons of Bones. My favorite was the myslim episode. They flat out talk about how muslims think it’s ok to lie to infidels and the devout muslim does lie and pretends to be pro-democracy, even as he is attempting to become a suicide bomber.
Each character has different views on political issues and they are remarkably even-handed with it.

Did they show indicate that the death penalty was wrong? They had a character who was on death row, but was innocent.

i stopped watching a couple of years ago, did he ever find red john?

Yea, he got him in the end of last season. They should have finished the show at that point. This season has sucked. Not because of PC, but because the chemistry and drive of the show has been vaporized by them trying to bring the team into the FBI. Supposedly, it will be cancelled at the end of this year so the producers are probably going to vent their spleen with one leftist stupid thing after another.

Jane saved the taxpayers a lot of money when he caught up to Red John.

Well, maybe you right - probably not much in NCIS….now that you mention it. Although they did feel it necessary to have a totally unbelievable head of the Department, Gibbs ex, and no one but the black guy has a normal family life. So it’s more sublte, but it’s still there….

TURN has been a huge disappintment to our family. They’ve just done a horrible job of telling a coherent story IMO. We are kind of angry because it is a fabulous idea - just poorly executed IMO. I tried episode 3 last night….3 strikes and they’re out.

It’s like they’re so over directed and so obsessed that we get all the nuance and texture, and it has great texture, that it takes away from the story.

I enjoyed the "Mentalist," but they did run the Red John thing into the ground. I thought the show "Life" was superior, which barely lasted two seasons. An interesting thing about "Life," they knew they were going to be cancelled, so they wrapped up the continuing storyline in the last episode.

'Life' was a good show and they ended it properly. I watched both seasons on Netflix to fill the blanks and the producers/director letting the audience know 'where the characters are' was a nice touch - as opposed to the normal 'Hey, what happened to program X'?

I checked out of 'Mentalist' when the Patrick character ignored Grigsby's head wound to enter a house where Red John was supposed to be.

Thought The Good Wife was interesting last night. Usually the Republicans in the show are the bad guys, the dirty politicians.

Last night, they ha the NSA tapping the phones of the R governor and his estranged wife's law firm.

Must have been because Difi was so outraged!! LOL

Maybe. He says that his mother told the police afterwards. We’ll see if there is a paper trail. If there is one in 2000 or so as claimed, then Singer may be toast. Good riddance. The pics associated with the article of his gay orgy parties are sick.

I didn’t start watching it until a few years ago. I did get the joke last week or the week before about football and Mark Harmon saying ‘he didn’t play football’ or something like that. CBS/White House agenda creeping in. Not so much as in Criminal Minds, but it’s there.

I recently started watching Mad Men on the Netflix streaming. I like the Netflix streaming because there are no commercials and you can stop in the middle of a show and continue watching a day or even a week later. Netflix remembers exactly where you left off!

Anyway, I've been avoiding Mad Men because I assumed it was one of those shows geared towards women and that it was more of a soap opera than a drama.

What it actually is is a "period piece" from the 1960s. The producers of the show go to extreme lengths to recreate the culture of a Madison Avenue advertising firm in the 1960s and I like how current events of the day are woven into the plot of the show. I think it is very well done. Even though most of the characters are not very nice people, I find much in common with the Don Draper and Peggy Olson characters. Neither of them belong in that "privileged" environment but both of them are ambitious in their own ways and despite their character flaws, they both started with nothing, made their own success on their own terms, and are not looking for anybody to hand them anything.

Oh, you didn't know that this generation of young women can beat up a cop or a brutal gang-banger without even breaking one of those fancy nails?

Best be careful out there fellows.

the Mentalist jumped the Shark a year ago or so.

They’ve ALL jumped the shark. “Bones” which used to be a decent “police procedural” has turned to embeded Toyota commercials and recently did 42 minutes of marijuana-legalization advocacy. Yep, 42 solid minutes of Soros-funded medical marijuana (”I got STRESS, man.”) advertisement.

Hollywood’s writers aren’t even trying to disguise it any more...

NCIS LA,...

I never really liked NCIS LA — it didn’t measure up to the original.

Now, if they go with Lucas Black (he played the kid in Sling Blade among other roles) in the NOLA spinoff, they may have a winner.

So he finally caught him? Or will Red John come back because they had the wrong guy again. I thought that plot was over when he killed him in a mall. When Red John came back, I didn’t watch more than a few shows after that.
