At least he didn’t excerpt it.
The other day, my cat threw up. It struck me as odd, because she only does that a couple times a week, and this one was the first.
After that, she went out into the yard. I just took it all in - like “wow”. I was getting ready for work when this all happened, so I took my shower and I got right in my car... driving to work on the normal roads and byways and backroads. Large and small towns. Sometimes I’ll take some other roads, this one or that one. I do what I want.
I parked near where I normally park - a little further away from the building because, I figure (and have figured, and probably WILL figure) why fight for spots. What, you have to walk an extra 20 feet? Come on.
I got out of my car and just went to work, not firing any shots ... that time. But next time who knows. We’re free to choose, and that’s the thing - we could even fire 3 shots, or 1, depending on how we feel, and what meaning it has in our lives, to the lives of those people, places and things, about whom and what we care
Don’t you think think that’s what he’s saying: That life is about choices. And that if you want to fire 2 shots, or 4, or hey, just take your socks of and your shoes or hat. Whatever. Who’s to judge you for being yourself. And it’s a valid point. Take heed, and be good to the ones you love, because when you’re in a bind, that’s who’s going to back you up in a jam, not someone else, if you get in one, which you might. I’m just saying, is all.
