Exactly. Not conservative at all. And for the skeptical scientists out there I have a simple question: Assuming there is no underlying, unseen, life force out there, what are the odds that the universe was born with the capacity to generate self-aware beings from the matter... that seemingly...came from nothing... in the first place? Sorry George, its not only probable that there is a God, its actually quite unlikely that there isnt a God.
And might I add, just to humor the perplexed Mr. Will: Not only did all of the above happen, it also miraculously found a moral order floating in the ether that allows atheists to somehow claim to be conservative.
Good observations.
By the way, the claim that “EVERYTHING is relative,” is much too absolute for me. :)
I agree with all of your conclusions, but people cannot simply choose to believe. Your logic is good, and perhaps if listened to, George Will may at some point believe.
Those of us who believe the Bible point to Ephesians 2:8: “By grace are you saved by faith, and that not of yourself, it is the gift of God.” We cannot even take credit for our own faith (and thus cannot blame those who have not (yet?) received that gift from God.
