Also thrilled at the way that Chang died!!!! That made my night.

Lots of loose ends were put to rest, that's for sure.

Jack was given a pardon by the president, irritating Audrey was killed off, Chang was killed off, both the CIA and the Secret Service fell in line behind Jack, Chloe admitted her fondness of Jack and Jack responded in kind.

Probably the most touching words I've ever witnessed in a television program were President Heller's describing his daughter's death and his own deteriorating mental condition due to alzheimers........

And the most defiant words being Jack's when he turned himself over to the Russians in exchange for the release of Chloe:

"I've taken you at your word, but if you're lying to me, if anything happens to her or my family, your entire world will come apart and you will never see it coming!

YIKES!

Awesome, simply awesome!

Good summing up.

I only disagree about the touching alzheimers statement heller made. He could have a few years where he remembers her death daily. It depends. Everyone’s decline is different. But the writers came up with a good hooking statement.

Now I am wondering I should go back and watch all the ones I have missed. Do they get better?

Yes! Definitely. It takes a couple of episodes to get warmed up (and to get used to Chloe's raccoon eyes), but once it does this season becomes as good as 24 has ever been. And this finale is the best they've ever had, imo.
