You didn’t make a “general statement”, you specified which generation her parents were, and said her parents were dishonest, and that “not one person” had been honest with her.
As far as that girl with what appears to be mental problems, you don’t know anything about her friends and family, and how they react to her and her singing.
Use some common sense, regardless of what generation you are, there is no reason for you to believe her delusions of her singing talent, or what we can assume is a delusion, that everyone that hears her thinks she is a wonderful singer.
