This guy? Used to have to replace tubes in TV's for people as a kid.

Would have been considered a geek had the word been invented yet.

For some clarity, there is a rap song with explicit lyrics, entitled “Back That Azz Up”, by an individual whose stage name is ‘Juvenile’.

Here are the lyrics. Again, they are explicit.

spelled out FA-Q

I think that is also clever. Frequently Asked Questions were a new concept in 1974.

Saw a gal who looked like her with a bumper sticker on he car last week.

It read, If you are going to ride my ass that close, at least pull my hair.

Crude but unique

Okay, now you can claim to be old. (I had to go look it up, as I saw them but never designed them into anything.)

Mnemonic devices have always been weird, and that’s how you remember them. Every Good Boy Does Fine (a musical mnemonic) was pretty strange. Even the PAIN words didn’t make sense - four common Latin words that begin with these initials and have feminine endings but are actually masculine - but I still remember them.

This student should get an award for being smart enough to create a mnemonic device.

Yes, what’s Utranium?

It's the element that makes Obama's green energy program financially solvent.

Well, she should have known she’s get a reaction.

"She's get a reaction"?

Is that in Ebonics?

Trapezium Trapezoid Capitate Hamate Scaphoid Lunate Triquetral Pisiform

The one for cranial nerves is just as bad...

I use the sentence,

Kids prefer candy other find gum satisfactory,

to help my students remember the stages of a kingdom.

The adult version is,

Kings prefer champagne other find gin satisfactory.

The resistor code...

Just wait 'till the PC Nazis discover that connectors come in male and female varieties. They'll want to know why you can't have male to male and female to female connections.

She structured a joke so that only those who paid attention in Chemistry class would get it.

Could be. I was a year later. Our high school teacher taught us the phrase so I don’t know how old the phrase is. Funny, though... been a long time.

Yes, but mine was the local grocery store.

Most people had no clue and were intimidated by the machine - kind of like people and computers today.
