These people calling about my “credit card debt” are driving me crazy 3 times a day. Sometimes I answer and immediately hang up, then sometimes I act drunk and ask stupid question. I will ask them politely if they can wait a minute, I lay the phone down in front of the radio and let them listen to Rush until they hang up on me.

On last nights Houston news Channel 2 they said on Tues at 10pm they will tell us how to get rid of the robo calls. I can hardly wait!

I'll tell you right now what doesn't work. The national Do Not Call registry doesn't work. I'm registered there, and I've reported those robo calls. Doesn't make any difference at all.

My phone service (Verizon) also has a number-block system. That doesn't work either. I suspect that's because the robo companies keep changing their phone numbers.

Please, let me know how that is done. The "do not call list" doesn't work and political calls are exempt. It's that just rich that politicians can exempt themselves. The last local election, we told the guy because he called several times a day we'd be voting for his opponent.
