I'm surprised at reports that Mexico's Luis Montes only fractured his right tibia and fibula in that challenge with Ecuador’s Segundo Castillo. The way Montes' right foot and lower leg were wobbling on their own, it looked like a clean and complete break.
Anyway, Montes is out of the World Cup and is Castillo (torn ligaments).
I didn't see it, but I understand Italian midfielder Riccardo Montolivo also broke his left tibia yesterday during a friendly with Ireland.
